Safer Baby Shampoo Cheat Sheet

Safer Baby Shampoo – The List

Our top choices for safer baby shampoo, in alphabetical order:

Most babies don’t need a special baby shampoo. Generally, you can get away with using a mild soap, like Dr Bronner’s, or using a shampoo and body wash combination product. Once they become toddlers, though, it can be a whole different ballgame, especially if they’ve got a lot of hair.

My two boys were never too worried about hair washing. They always just closed their eyes so we never had to worry about ‘no more tears’. I was always suspicious of the whole idea of ‘no more tears’ shampoo. If you get shampoo in your eyes, they sting. That’s why you close your eyes.

And it turns out that I was right to be concerned about ‘no more tears’ shampoo. Johnson & Johnson had been using toxic chemicals in their baby shampoos for years.

Which is why I do all this research on the ingredients in the products we stock here at Hello Charlie, and I share my research with you. That way, you’ll know what you’re buying and you can choose safer baby shampoo for your children.

The usual disclaimers apply. I’m a mum, doing this to help other parents. I know you’ll want to share this information with other parents, and I’d love it if you do! However, please bear in mind the time that it takes for me to do this research, and do the right thing by attributing this article back to me here at Hello Charlie. Thanks!

Safer Baby Shampoos – The Full Rundown

Name: Acure Bare Baby 4 in 1 Foamer Acure Bare Baby 4in1 Foamer
Ingredients: Purified Water, Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Decyl Glucoside, Coco-glucoside, Glyceryl oleate, Sodium Levulinate, Potassium Sorbate, Glycerin, Organic Coco Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Organic Cathamus tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber), Roman Anthemis Noblis (Chamomile) Flower, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Sodium Phytate, Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 473ml for $16.95 (Buy at Hello Charlie)
Comments: A fairly new product on the Australian market, and it’s a good one. Nothing scary in this one and I’m happy to recommend it. The Vanilla Citrus one is good, too, with a natural fragrance, but I always prefer to go fragrance free where possible.

Name: Aromababy Pure Hair Cleanser Aromababy Pure Hair Cleanser
Ingredients: Purified Water, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Xanthan Gum (vegetable gum), Polysorbate (dispersant), Orange Sweet Essential Oil*, (Citrus aurantium var Sinensis), Geranium Bourbon Essential Oil* (Pelargonium graveolens), Hydroxymethylglycinate (Protein Derived preservative)  * Organic
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 250ml for $17.55
Comments: Seems like an okay list of ingredients, except for the Cocoamidopropyl Betaine. What really bugs me with this company is that they do not answer emails. We have emailed them at least half a dozen times looking for help with ingredients, and have not had one reply. Doesn’t sound like a company that’s too concerned with its customers …

Name: Avado Baby Naturals Shampoo  Avado Baby Naturals Shampoo
Ingredients: Certified Organic Calendula Extract, Certified Organic Chamomile Extract, Coco Glucoside (Plant Derived), Vegetable Glycerol, Capric/Caprylic, Guar Gum, Suttocide, Mandarin Essential Oil, Orange Essential Oil, Citric Acid, Certified Organic Avocado Oil, Certified Organic Lavender Essential Oil, Certified Organic Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Certified Organic Jojoba Essential Oil, Certified Organic Chamomile German Essential Oil
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 250ml for $9.99
Comments: This looks good, except for the suttocide. Suttocide is the trade name for a preservative, Sodium hydroxymethylglycinate. It’s a preservative, so there’s not a lot of it, but this one is a formaldehyde releaser and an allergen, according to EWG. This pushes the estimated EWG score up to a 3.

Name: Baby Organics Baby Shampoo Baby Organics Baby Shampoo
Ingredients: Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Purified Water, Coco Glucoside, Organic Lavender Floral Water, Organic Guar Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Organic Lavender Essential oil, Organic Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil, Organic Glycerine, Biodynamic Avocado Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Olive Leaf Extract, Organic Calendula Extract, Organic Chamomile Extract, Rosehip Extract.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a

Comments: This is a great product – good ingredients, certified organic and Australian made. Love it!

EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 125ml for $13.50
Comments: I don’t really like the Cocamidopropyl Betaine or the phenoxyethanol, but it’s a reasonable list of ingredients.

Name: Brauer Baby Shampoo Brauer Baby Shampoo
Ingredients: Purified Water, Lauryl Glucoside, Coco Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate, Paw Paw Ferment, Shea Butter, Honey, Dicaprylyl Ether (And) Decyl Glucoside (And) Glycerol Oleate, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Mandarin Oil.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 250ml for $9.99
Comments: This looks pretty good. I’d prefer a different preservative other than the phenoxyethanol, but otherwise it’s not bad.

Name: Bubba Blue Organic Baby Shampoo  Bubba Blue Organic Baby Shampoo
Ingredients: Aqua, Caprylic / Capric Glucoside, Coco-Glucoside, Glycerin, Acacia Senegal Gum (And) Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol and Dehydroacetic Acid, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Extract, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Extract *, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil^, Citrus Reticulata (Mandarin) Oil, Citric Acid. EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 200ml for $19.95
Comments: This looks pretty good, too. The acacia senegal gum can be an irritant, but shampoo is washed off straight away, so that’s a minor quibble.

Name: Buds Everyday Organics Everyday Shampoo  Buds Everyday Organics Everyday Shampoo
Ingredients: Aqua/Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Disodium Cocoglucoside Tartrate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Coco Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Xanthan Gum, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*, Fructan, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil*, Parfum/Perfume, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate. Parfum Made from Essential Oils *Ingredients from Organic Farming
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 225ml for $17.95
Comments: As always, the fragrance really pushes up the score on this. Otherwise, this is a good list of ingredients, so it’s a shame about the perfume.

Name: Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash
Ingredients: Aqua (Water, Eau), Decyl Glucoside, Coco-Betaine, Lauryl Glucoside, Sucrose Laurate, Glycerin, Betaine, Coco-Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Parfum (Fragrance), Glyceryl Oleate, Sodium Chloride, Xanthan Gum, Glucose, Citric Acid, Glucose Oxidase, Lactoperoxidase, Benzyl Benzoate, Geraniol, Linalool
EWG Skin Deep Rating: 3 (Moderate Hazard)
Cost: 350ml for $19.95
Comments: There’s a few things in this that I would prefer to avoid, mainly the fragrance and the benzyl benzoate. There are worse products around, but there’s also better. I’m not sure why you’d use this one when Burt’s Bees do a fragrance free version that’s great.

Name: Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Fragrance Free Shampoo & Wash Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Fragrance Free Shampoo & Wash
Ingredients: Aqua (Water, Eau), Decyl Glucoside, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes, Glycerin, Sodium Cocyl Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Fruit Extract, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Glucose, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Benzoate, Glucose Oxidase, Lactoperoxidase, Linalool.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: 1 (Low Hazard)
Cost: 235ml for $19.95 (Buy at Hello Charlie)
Comments: Decent list of ingredients, and much better than the fragranced version. All in all, pretty good.

Name: Cherub Rubs Organic Baby Shampoo Cherub Rubs Baby Safe Hair And Body Wash
Ingredients: *Aloe Vera Juice, Decyl Glucoside, Rapeseed Acid, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, *Glycerine, Parfum, Xanthonomonas Campestris (Xanthan Gum), *Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, *Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, *Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, *Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil, *Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, *Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil. *All Natural and Contains Certified Organic Oils.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 250ml for $17.60
Comments: Since we reviewed this one last time, the cocamidopropyl betaine has been removed. Unfortunately, there’s been fragrance added. The other ingredients are pretty good, though.

Name: Dr Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soap – Baby Mild Dr Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soap – Baby Mild
Ingredients: Water, Organic Coconut Oil*, Potassium Hydroxide**, Organic Palm Kernel Oil*, Organic Olive Oil*, Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Citric Acid, Tocopherol. *Certified Fair Trade Ingredients ** None Remains After Saponifying Oils into Soap & Glycerin.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: 1 (Low Hazzard)
Cost: 236ml for $10.95 (Buy at Hello Charlie)
Comments: One of my all time favourite products. This is great, and it’s one of the brands I can’t do without in my own home.

Name: Eco Kid TLC Hypo Allergenic Hair & Body Wash Eco Kid TLC Hypo Allergenic Hair & Body Wash
Ingredients: Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glycerin, Lauryl Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate, Aloe Barbadensis, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Lactic Acid, Dicaprylyl Ether, Decyl Glucoside, Diheptyl Succinate, Capryloyl Glycerin/Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Vaccinium Myrtillus, Tocopherol, Ethyl Palmate, Mauritia Flexuosa, Passiflora Edulis, Carapa Guaianensis, Coffea Arabica, Euterpe Oleracea, Lilium candidum, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 225ml for $17.95
Comments: This is a reasonable list of ingredients, too. Lactic acid can be an irritant, but again, it’s shampoo. Shampoo is washed off straight away and doesn’t stay on your skin, so it’s not too problematic.

Name: Ecostore Baby Shampoo Ecostore Baby Shampoo
Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Coco Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Coco Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Lavandula Angustifolia, Eucalyptus Globulus, Pelargonium Graveolens, Lavandula Intermedia
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a but we estimate a 2
Cost: 200ml for $10.95 (Buy at Hello Charlie)
Comments: This is pretty good, except for the sodium hydroxymethylglycinate used as the preservative. It’s a formaldehyde releaser, and although it doesn’t increase the EWG score significantly, ecostore does say on their website that they are looking for alternatives to phase it out.

Name: Four Cow Farm Pure Castile Soap Baby Wash Four Cow Farm Pure Castile Soap Baby Wash
Ingredients: Purified Water, Saponified 100% Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Certified Organic Echinacea Augustifolia Extract, Citric Acid (From Citrus Fruit).
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 250ml for $13.95
Comments: Another good one. It’s a castile soap, too, like Dr Bronner’s, and they really are the purest of soaps.

Name: Gaia Skin Naturals Baby Shampoo Gaia Skin Naturals Baby Shampoo
Ingredients: Purified Water, Decyl Glucoside, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Guar Gum, Vegetable Glycerine, Hydrolysed Wheat Protein, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Lactic Acid, Certified Organic Chamomile Extract*, Certified Organic Avocado Oil*, Certified Organic Evening Primrose Oil*, Sodium Hydroxyl Methyl Glycinate, Phenoxyethanol, And The Pure Essential Oils Of Certified Organic Lavender*, Certified Organic Sweet Orange* And Certified Organic Chamomile* (Limonene, Linalool – Naturally Occurring Components Of Essential Oils)
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a but we estimate it at a 4
Cost: 250ml for $11.50 (Buy at Hello Charlie)
Comments: The ingredients in this have changed since the last time we reviewed this product. There’s still the Cocoamidopropyl Betaine and Phenoxyethanol that I didn’t like last time. Now there’s also Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate as a preservative, and lactic acid which is an irritant. Yes, it’s a shampoo and it’s washed off straight away, but the list of things I don’t like in this is growing.

Name: Little Innoscents Organic Baby Hair and Body Wash Little Innoscents Organic Baby Hair and Body Wash
Ingredients: Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice)*, Kernel Oil (Potassium Oleate)*, Sunflower Oil (Potassium Linoleate)*, Olive Oil (Potassium Cocoate)*, Xanthan Gum, Glycerine, 100% Propriety blend of essential oils, (Parfum), Spearmint (Mentha Viridis Oil), Sweet Orange (Citrus Aurantium Dulcis oil)*, Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia Oil). *Denotes Certified Organic
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 250ml for $12.99 (Buy at Hello Charlie)
Comments: The ingredients in this look good, and I couldn’t see at first glance what was pushing this score up. It’s the fragrance, as usual. As this one uses a essential oils and I know and trust this company – I’d be happy to use this (and have!). They’re also ACO certified.

Name: Milk Skincare Baby Shampoozle and Conditioner Milk Skincare Baby Shampoozle and Conditioner
Ingredients: Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocosulfate, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Hydroxpropyl Guar Hydropropyltrimonium Chloride, Fragrance, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Chloride.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 375ml for $14.95
Comments: I must admit I’m not a fan of this brand. The website says they’re ‘all natural’, and there are products that say they’re ‘more natural than ever’. Has ‘natural’ changed and we weren’t sent the memo? Well, sorry, but cocamidopropyl betaine isn’t natural, and neither is fragrance. This product is not on my recommend list.

Name: Moogoo Milk Shampoo Moogoo Milk Shampoo
Ingredients: Aqua, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Lauryl Glucoside, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Oleate, Coco Glucoside, Piroctone Olamine, Allantoin, Hydrolysed Milk Protein, Fragrance Oil.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a but we estimate a 3
Cost: 500ml for $17.50
Comments:There are some products from this brand that I like, some that I don’t. This one is okay, but it’s only okay. It comes in at a 3 because of the fragrance and the cocamidopropyl betaine. I also get a bit annoyed at calling it ‘milk’ shampoo. It would be better to call it ‘water’ shampoo, because there’s a lot of water. Whereas the milk is the second smallest ingredient. Anyway, without getting too snarky, it’s not my favourite – there’s better products out there.

Name: Nature’s Care Paw Paw Baby Shampoo and Body Wash Natures Care Paw Paw Baby Shampoo and Body Wash
Ingredients: Water, Decyl Glucoside, Coco Betaine, Methyl Glucoside, Vegetable Glycerine, Glycol Stearate, Paw Paw Fruit Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 500ml for $9.66
Comments: I could just replicate my comments on the MooGoo milk shampoo for this one. Once again, there’s not a lot of pawpaw in this, and there’s fragrance, too, which pushes the EWG score up. There’s worse products out there, but there’s better, too.

Name: Pineapple Heads Shampoo Pineapple Heads Shampoo
Ingredients: Aqua, Plantapon, Lamesoft, Vegetable Glycerine, Geoguard, Zea Mays (Corn Silk) Extract Ananas Comosus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Extract, Sodium Chloride, Pineapple Water (Parfum), Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 250ml for $15.95 (Buy at Hello Charlie)
Comments: The big thing in this is the fragrance, as always. But as this is an ecocert approved fragrance (where 100% of the ingredients must be natural), I’m happy with this one. I’ll be using this at home on my boys.

Name: Pitta Patta Shampoo and Body WashPitta Patta Shampoo and Body Wash
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Decyl Glucoside, Lauryl Betaine, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis), Bergamot Essential oil (Citrus aurantium bergamia), Mandarin Essential oil (Citrus nobilis), Lavender Essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia), Roman Chamomile essential oil (Anthemis nobilis), Indigo Essences, Citric Acid (maize), Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 200ml for $13.95
Comments: This is a brand that has it’s ups and downs, too. However, this is a pretty good product aside from the phenoxyethanol. And don’t even ask me about the indigo essences. I have no idea how essences of gemstones will help anything!

Name: Sanctum Baby Shampoo & Wash Sanctum Organic Baby Shampoo and Wash
Ingredients: Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Decyl Glucoside, Olive (Olea europaea) Leaf Extract*, Glycerin*, Xanthan Gum, Calendula officinalis Flower Extract*, Honeysuckle (Lonicera caprifolium) Flower Extract, Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) Oil*, Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) Flower Extract, Lemon (Citrus medica limonum) Peel Oil*, Sweet Marjoram (Origanum majorana) Leaf Oil, citral, linalool, limonene. *Certified Organic / 91% Certified Organic / 100% Naturally Derived
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 150g for $9.95
Comments: Nice! I’d be happy to use this one on myself or my boys. Don’t you love it when you know exactly what every ingredient is?

Name: Sukin Kids Wendy Water Saver Gentle Shampoo Sukin Kids Wendy Water Saver Gentle Shampoo
Ingredients: Aqua, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glycerin, Lauryl Glucose, Coco-Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Arctium Lappa (Burdock) Extract, Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Vanillin, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Limonene*, Linalool*.  * Natural component of essential oils
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a but we estimate it at a 2
Cost: 500ml for $11.95
Comments: This is another new entry to the list this year, and it’s not a bad one. I’m not a huge fan of the preservatives they’ve chosen (benzyl alcohol and phenoxyethanol), and I’m not a big fan of cocoamidopropyl betaine either. But it’s a reasonable choice at a reasonable price, and there are certainly worse products out there.

Name: Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Coco-Glucoside, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Alcohol, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract (Organic) (Fair Trade), Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid, Fragrance (Parfum)*, Limonene*, Linalool* *From natural essential oil
EWG Skin Deep Rating: 5 (Moderate Hazard)
Cost: 203.6g for $19.50 (Buy at Hello Charlie)
Comments: Weleda always scores higher on the EWG database because of the fragrance. But their fragrance is made from essential oils, they don’t use phthalates or parabens, and they have Innovator Status in the EWG Campaign for Safer Cosmetics. I love Weleda products, and am happy to recommend them and use them.

The Supermarket Baby Shampoos

Name: Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo (NB – J&J brand) Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo
Ingredients: Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG 80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, PEG 150 Distearate, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-10, Butylene Glycol, Avena sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract
EWG Skin Deep Rating: 4 (Moderate Hazard)
Cost: 236ml for $10.99
Comments: Pretty much every ingredient sends up a red flag: Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG’s, Tetrasodium EDTA, sulphates, fragrance. The best thing in this is the water, and I wouldn’t pay you $10.99 for it!

Name: Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo Johnson & Johnson baby Shampoo
Ingredients: Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, PEG-150 Distearate, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-10,Tetrasodium EDTA, Quaternium-15, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Yellow 10 and Orange 4.
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a but we estimate a 4
Cost: 200ml for $6.16
Comments: Sulfates, PEGs, fragrance, cocamidopropyl betaine, artificial colours … no thanks!

Name: Organic Care Berry Bliss Shampoo & Conditioner Organic Care Berry Bliss Shampoo & Conditioner
Ingredients: Water, Coco-Glucoside, Sodium Coco Fatty Alcohol Sulfate, Glyceryl Oleate, Lauryl Lactyl Lactate, Dimethicone, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Fragrance, Wheatgerm Oil, Panthenol, Citric Acid, Hydrolysed Wheat Protein, Nettle Extract, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Chamomile Flower Extract, Ginseng Root Extract, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone
EWG Skin Deep Rating: n/a
Cost: 400ml for $3.49
Comments: I spotted this brand in the supermarket a while back and it immediately got my greenwash alert going. There’s not one thing that’s organic about this. There’s sulfates and silicones (dimethicone), and a couple of ingredients that you should absolutely avoid: fragrance, methylchloroisothiazolinone (allergen and irritant),  and methylisothiazolinone (neurotoxin and allergen). Give this one a definite swerve.
